Game Design Workshop: Gamestar Mechanic LIMITED

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

Designing and making a videogame involves a fascinating mix of technical, artistic, creative and storytelling skills. If you've ever wanted to make a game of our own, this introductory workshop will help you learn the basics of game design.

We'll start with some activities that will introduce the elements of game systems by making and modding physical games and then move on to making original games using Gamestar Mechanic (gamestarmechanic.com), an award-winning game design tool used in over 5,000 schools and youth programs. No prior experience in making games or programming is required, and we'll also spend some time talking about the different tools, organizations, competitions and pathways you can follow if you'd like to continue making games.

PLEASE RSVP to this workshop here - we must have your RSVP via this form to count you in to the workshop: http://www.digitalfamilysummit.com/rsvp2013/
